Western Sydney Airport
Fuel Hydrant Main Civil Works

Working collaboratively with Pipeline specialists, Kane Civil undertook the trenching and backfilling of over 10km of fuel pipeline and associated services for the new Nancy-Bird Western Sydney Airport.
This large scale project saw Kane Civils experienced excavation operators excel in meeting project deadlines all the while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Scope:
• ITS pit and conduit installation
• FRP Valve Pit structures
• Over 10,000m3 of concrete poured
• Extensive rock excavation (over 30,000m3)
• Challenging weather conditions surmounted
• Waterproofing and Coatings
• Highest standards of backfilling achieved (Airport Taxiway – Level 1 GITA)
Despite the numerous challenges presented on the project, Kane Civils experience and collaborative approach to project management saw the project successfully delivered.
Port Botany
Port Botany Kane Civil was awarded the civil scope in the remediation of Port Botany dock, a challenging task that involved the excavation and removal of asphalt, general fill material, and reinstatement of fill to design specification all the while working around a live shipping facility.

Scope:
• Excavation and removal of asphalt and general fill material
• Reinstatement of fill to design specifications
• Trimming defected areas to level and prepare for asphalt placement
• Placement of asphalt to high tolerances
• Installation of line marking
This project demanded precise execution and careful planning, ensuring the dock met the highest safety and operational standards after its successful remediation.
Rozelle ICL WestConnex
As an integral component of the expansive Westconnex project, the Iron Cove Link required careful construction of tunnel entry and exit ramps, as well as significant upgrades and modifications to Victoria Road's eastbound and westbound carriageways. Kane Civil was proud to be a key contributor in this complex project.

Scope:
• Installation of stormwater pits and pipes
• ITS pit and pipe installation
• Bulk and detailed excavation
• Rock sawing
• Wall trimming
• General plant and labour hire
One of the notable achievements during this project was the successful collaboration between Kane Civil and the ICL team. Working directly together, the teams developed a sequence of works for drainage installation on the live carriageway of Victoria Road during ROL times. This collaboration helped minimize local impact due to noise, dust, and vibration, despite challenging road conditions.
Marrickville Sydney Metro
The Marrickville dive site played a pivotal role in the launch and support of two tunnel boring machines for the Sydney Metro project.

Kane Civil was entrusted with the task of removing a heavily reinforced concrete slab and commencing drainage installation after the TBM's launch.

Scope:
• Demolition of 2747 tons of heavily reinforced concrete
• Rock sawing 1879m
• Excavation of 4170 tons of rock
• Installation of 3835m of stormwater drainage FRC pipes
